Many people are familiar with Blackbeard, the English pirate whose legend of being a brutal killer is disputed by historians. Facts suggest the only people Blackbeard killed were those who helped capture him for his eventual beheading. Meet Bluebeard, the star of Legend of the High Seas slots. This fictional counterpart to Blackbeard. This skeletal pirate has bountiful prizes and offers a 2x multiplier when he’s part of a winning combination.

Win Free Spins with the Bonus
Three or more scatters lead to the free spins bonus. You start with 15 free spins and a 3x multiplier. You can retrigger additional free spins with three or more scatters. There’s no limit on how many free spins you can win, but the 3x multiplier doesn’t increase. There is a max win of 50,000 times your coin value, however. If you reach that amount, the spin ends and a new one begins.
This pirate slot also has a progressive jackpot as a special feature. It’s randomly awarded, so you could win it on your first spin of the reels. The value of the progressive changes, but it’s nearing $6,000 at the time of this review.
Place Your Bet Before You Spin
Before you spin the reels, you need to set your wager. Use the plus and minus buttons on each side of the green spin button to do so. The max bet is $100, but you can play for as little as 20 cents.
As there are 20 paylines, that puts the coin values at a penny to $5. As the game pays ample prizes with only two matching symbols, we won a lot more than we risked. On the max bet, our first spin led to a $200 win. Five spins later, we won $850.
The graphic design has a visual appeal with bright colors and animations. Sound effects are minor and feature Bluebeard’s laugh and what we call standard slot sounds with whirring reels, dings, and chimes. It doesn’t matter that the audio isn’t as dramatic as other pirate slots, the prizes make up for it.
